A company of passionate caregiver advocates

Our story

The fact that healthcare aides receive comprehensive training for in-home care, while family members—who are the primary caregivers for most of us—often have limited resources, struck us as a significant oversight. Families need practical education on crucial aspects of care, such as how to prevent household accidents, safely assist with mobility, or handle the complex behaviors that come with chronic conditions. We have reimagined clinical skills training for non-professional caregivers. We are Trualta, a team of passionate advocates for caregivers with a shared goal to provide Better DaysTM for everyone caring for someone at home.

JONATHAN DAVIS

Founder & CEO

Read Bio

Jonathan was inspired to start Trualta while investing in healthcare education at a private equity fund. Prior to that, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Co. He loves to hustle alongside innovative client partners to support families and deliver results. When not working, you can find him traveling with his wife, cruising on his snowboard, or frustrated on the golf course.

SHAHZAD ZAFAR

Chief Operating Officer

A healthcare technology leader, Shahzad enjoys building high performing products and teams. Shahzad has over 18 years of experience, and in previous roles has led the scaling and maturity of platforms. He’s passionate about helping people succeed, especially when it comes to healthcare outcomes. Outside of work, Shahzad can be found coaching his kids soccer team or exploring new destinations.

TOMMY ALIBER

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Tommy enjoys leveraging data to provide insights that help fuel Trualta's growth. He started his career as a consultant with PwC, and more recently has experience investing in and operating education technology companies. Outside of work he enjoys chasing his daughters (both under three) and dog around the house, watching Kansas City sports teams, and water skiing.

LEDA ROSENTHAL

Vice President of Revenue

As Vice President of Revenue, Leda loves partnering with innovative care organizations. Leda became passionate about supporting family caregivers when her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, leading her to found a caregiver-focused technology discovery company in 2016. Most recently, Leda worked in eLearning sales at LinkedIn, making Trualta a perfect blend of her past experiences and passions. Outside of work, she loves skiing, pilates, and making wood fired pizzas!

JAMES PURDY

Vice President of Product & Engagement

James is a product leader with a diverse background spanning science, sales, finance, operations, and startups before finding his home in product. With experience in digital health, biotech, and venture capital, he applies a user-centered, continuous discovery approach to uncovering and solving the right problems. He holds a BSc and an MBA and values listening over speaking, data over assumptions, and collaboration over silos—empowering teams to build impactful products.
