Alzheimer’s Music Connect uses special audio technology paired with familiar
melodies to promote relaxation for people with dementia and provide caregivers with
respite. The enhanced music calms agitation, amplifies brain activity, and provides
an opportunity for family caregivers to connect with their loved one.
Research from Alzheimer’s Music Connect shows Classic Country Memories that the enhanced music has many positive effects for family caregivers including:
- Improved mood and behaviors of the person with dementia – lasting nearly 3 hours.
- Increased opportunity for caregivers to take a personal break – lasting nearly 2 hours.
100% of the caregivers who participated in the research said they would recommend the enhanced music albums to other caregivers, medical professionals, and support groups.
